We appointed MAJO Media on a recent scheme of ours overlooking Holborn Station. Leaks to the top floor of the building and no fixed access to the roof meant we were faced with significant scaffolding costs and time impact to a.) ascertain the cause of the leak and b.) carry out the required works. MAJO were contacted for a Drone Survey, which provided us exceptionally clear photos and video of the roof within 7 days, showing blocked outlets and damage to guttering. This allowed us to confirm likely causation for the leaks, cost certainty on remedial budgets, and targeted appointment of a gutter clearance and roofing contractor to complete works. No working at height was required for the survey, and MAJO provided all RAMs specific to the drone’s operation. The clear images also allowed our H&S consultant to draft a bespoke access arrangement for the required works including a weighted man-safe system, without needing to attend site.

 

The photographs have also provided our client with a general overview of the roofing condition, allowing proactive budgets to be allocated for specific elements of concern, as well as ensuring building maintenance strategies are successful in keeping gutters free of debris and avoiding water build up in the future.
